The key elements of a new accountability system approved by the California Board of Education evaluates schools and districts in 10 areas critical to student performance. Amongst them graduation rates, readiness for college and careers, test scores, and progress of English learners are all directly dependent on student attending the school and are in their seats when the lessons are being taught. This is where TDPS is extremely helpful for districts to monitor the progress, capturing the data real-time and helping each school site to improve the measures for student engagement, parent engagement, and reducing chronic absenteeism.
